Tessitura Pardi Italian Linens

Lil, Tish, Hulet, and Laurie, along with Mary Brux and Judy, spent 10 days in Italy last summer at Susan Evans' villa.  One of the highlights was our day trip to Montefalco  where we spent the day touring  the Tessitura Pardi linen factory and cantina.

 Augusta Pardi, who describes herself as "poetry" of the Pardi family, was our guide and interpreter.  We saw beautiful linens being woven on huge looms--all pre-computer.  Then we visited the outlet where the linens are sold to the public. 

Linda, Augusta's niece, cooked for us at the cantina and we sampled several bottles of the wine that was made there in Montefalco.  Albertino was our guide through the winery.

We were so intrigued with the linens that we arranged to have them for sale at Twisted Sisters.  We have linen and linen/cotton blend table cloths, table runners, placemats, and hand towels woven in the Pardi factory.

The pictures in the gallery do not begin to show the beautiful texture and color of the linens.
